Pasig on another level again
From Pepero ayudas to disinfectant drones, it seems that Pasig City is just one step ahead of the rest of the country. This time around, they’re introducing a free necessity for all Pasig citizens.
In a Facebook post by Mayor Vico Sotto, he shares that free COVID-19 testing is open for 300 reserved Pasigueños this Friday, August 14.
A total of 300 slots are available, but citizens ought to reserve first at 0928-2911716 or 0928-2911717 since walk-ins aren’t allowed.
‘Kung maayos po tayo bukas, itutuloy natin ito araw-araw. Kung dagsain ng mga walang reservation at mawalan ng social distancing, baka makansela ang proyekto,’ Vico captioned.
‘Bukas paguusapan namin pano mas nagagandahan ang sistema para madaling magpa reserve for the next days.’

Pasig’s initiative follows after Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s free drive-thru COVID-19 testing centers at Luneta’s Independence Road near the Quirino Grandstand.
With mass testing being a necessity yet far cry in the country, LGUs have taken it upon themselves to lessen the infections, such as Manila and Marikina.
As of writing, PH stands with over 140,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 2,404 deaths, and 68,000 recoveries.
