It’s official: Live-action ‘Resident Evil’ series is dropping on Netflix
Respect the original material, pls
It’s been more than a year since rumors leaked that Netflix is working on a Resident Evil remake. Now, we finally have an official confirmation, as the streaming platform tweeted the script of the long-planned project.
Per The Verge, the series will see two timelines. The first will focus on 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker who discover something sinister after moving into Raccoon City with their father.
The second will be a time-jump of 16 years into the future, where Jade and other survivors struggle to survive in a world filled with creatures infected by the T-Virus.

It’s currently unknown if the Wesker sisters are related to long-time series antagonist Albert Wesker, or if the show will continue with its planned ‘action-over-horror’ feel similar to the movies. Given the synopsis, it seems that the latter is likely.
The eight-episode show will be headed by showrunner Andrew Dabb, most known for his work as writer and producer on Supernatural. Brownen Hughes (Walking Dead, Breaking Bad) will direct the first two episodes.
Please be decent
