These super-realistic edible ‘sponge cakes’ has us looking twice

From Dalgona coffee, sushi bake, to all kinds of cookies, the lockdown officially has us trying all kinds of baked goods while at home. This time around, a certain hyper-realistic ‘sponge cake’ is making heads turn.
Taking the name to heart, one Mile Bryan Mharc Gocon posted what seemingly looks like your average kitchen sponge and soapy water, until we see it being mixed together and actually bitten into.
‘No worries po di ko ipapahamak anak ko
,’ Gocon assured a commentator who reacted to the super realistic ‘sponge cake’ dish.
The post has since been met with almost 10k reactions in less than a day in the PH foodie group ‘What’s Your Ulam pare?‘
