‘Ang Huling El Bimbo’ is making an international online comeback
O, giliw ko
The beloved Eraserheads-inspired play ‘Ang Huling El Bimbo‘ (AHEB) is set to make an even larger online comeback this month – but it won’t be for PH watchers anymore.
The play first wowed audiences when it was re-released on YouTube last May for a limited time. This time, the production will be available via pay-per-view for TFC subscribers in the US, Canada, UK, Middle East, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan.
Instead of the first group of actors we witnessed during its YT release, TFC’s ‘AHEB‘ will have the two original cast sets available for viewing. Its 48-hr limited release garnered over 7 million views and raised PHP 12M for ABS-CBN’s ‘Pantawid ng Pag-ibig’ charity.
The rental period runs from September 15 to November 15, with a regular price tag of $7.99 (PHP 380+). If you’re down to support other forms of local art, check out CCP’s Facebook page and these free theatre shows.
