Joseph Gordon-Levitt shows PH some love with ‘Beauty of the Philippines’ short film
DoT is shaking
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is back at it with more PH content, this time around he’s the one hitting us with some serious nostalgia with the short film ‘Beauty of the Philippines’.
The 1 minute and 30-second clip showcases homemade videos submitted by Filipinos themselves with views ranging from beaches, mountains, and city sceneries with Filipinos at its core.
‘Really pleased to share “The Beauty of the Philippines,” the short film that so many of you created!’, JGL captioned.

‘Like everything we do on hitRECord, this piece is a true collaboration. Artists from the Philippines contributed thousands of photos and videos to bring other artists’ writing and voice acting to life.’
ICYDK, hitRECord is Joseph’s own site that features works from volunteers from all over the world. The actor had previously called Filos to record and submit the word ‘poem‘ in our native language, and to write a short piece on a photo taken in Sorsogon.
The short film project apparently serves as one of the site’s newest initiatives, as JLG posted a Taiwan version a day before the PH video.
‘The finished piece is such a sweet celebration of a beautiful place and culture. Bravo to everyone who contributed! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Looking forward to seeing what we’ll create together next.’
Makes us miss traveling more, TBH
