Andy Samberg, Craig Robinson are starring in a film about weed-powered superheroes

Per Variety, Brooklyn Nine-Nine faves Andy Samberg, Craig Robinson, along with rapper Common are set to star in a comedy-superhero film called ‘Super High‘. The story reportedly features a special kind of weed which gives its smokers superpowered abilities.

It’s the kind of concept that seems perfect for Samberg and Robinson, whose goofy pairing in B99 as a cop and criminal frenemies remains a high point in the series for fans.

Aside from B99, Craig Robinson has starred in several popular comedies, such as The Office, Hot Tub Time Machine and the recently-released Dolemite is My Name.

Andy Samberg, meanwhile, rose to fame as part of the Saturday Night Live musical group The Lonely Island before branching out to films such as That’s My Boy, Hotel Transylvania, and Celeste & Jesse Forever.

While details remain scarce, ‘Sky High’ seems to have promise, as the screenplay is also written by New York Times bestselling author and ‘Barry‘ screenwriter Adam Mansbach.
