CCP to stream free films on depression, autism, and dementia
The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will launch the free film screening project ‘Balik Tanaw‘ for Mental Health Awareness month this October.
The 3 featured films are ‘Oh, Aking Katoto‘ by director Kelvin Aguilar, ‘Rekuwerdo‘ by Kristoffer Brugada, and ‘Wish‘ by Sheen Irerick Seekts.
The three entries showcase different aspects of mental health such as depression, dementia, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, respectively.
They were originally showcased during the 3rd Quisumbing-Escandor Film Festival (QEFF), an annual film contest that aims to shed light on mental health conditions in the country.
If you’re down to submit similar movies to QEFF, they’re accepting entries until December 31, 2020 for their 4th festival.
Meanwhile, CCP’s weeklong festival will stream from October 23 to 30 on CCPs’ official Vimeo channel, where viewers can watch the films any time they please.
