Enchanted Kingdom to reopen this October
With the PH economy still trying to recuperate amidst the pandemic, the country’s top tourist spots are now trying to adjust to the times.
Enchanted Kingdom (EK) in Santa Rosa, Laguna is just one of the popular industries trying to keep the biz afloat, as they shared that they’ll be reopening sometime this October.
The theme park shared the news on Facebook, where they reposted a status from Santa Rosa Mayor Arlene Arcillas thanking reps from the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for visiting and checking the park’s anti-COVID measure last September 30.

In the series of photos from Arcillas, we can see the changes that EK has made in light of the pandemic, including rampant 1M physical distancing signs, designated food areas, handwashing stations, and cashless transactions among others.
Visitors are also required to wear facemasks and facemasks within the park premises, as group rides will now require people to sit by themselves to avoid contact.
We’re not sure how the water-themed ‘Rio Grande Rapids‘ ride will go, though.

There’s no word yet when exactly the park plans to reopen this month. Though it may not be the same EK experience we know and love, this is just one of the ways the local business is trying to get back up after its 7-month closure. EK has also previously dropped POV videos of virtual Space Shuttle and Log Jam rides for fans.
It could be worse though, as Japan doesn’t even allow their park visitors to scream on rollercoasters.
