Lorde could drop her album next year – if we vote
Oh Lorde
If there’s one thing that Lorde fans have mastered: it’s the art of patience.
The artist has long been known for keeping mum on album updates and general info about her life, but the 2-time Grammy winner shocked fans when she potentially hinted at a 2021 album release.
The ‘Liability‘ artist took to a series of Instagram Stories earlier today to encourage Kiwi fans to vote in the coming New Zealand (NZ) election this October, and they might just get a little something next year if they do.
‘We know we live in a special place. And adding all of our voices to the conversation, speaking up for communities or organisations that mean something to us – that’s what helps keep it that way.’
She furthered that fans ought to research on NZ’s End Of Life Choice Bill and the Cannabis Legalisation And Control Bill referendums.
To cap off the Stories, Lorde concluded with the triggering ‘Do it for our beautiful country and for me. And next year I’ll give you something in return.’
This serves as the first time that the Lorde has potentially spoken up about her album since May of this year, where she shared that she and producer Jack Antonoff were making some ‘good fucking’ music amidst the NZ lockdowns.
Got it loud and clear, maam
