The highest-auctioned Pokémon card just got sold for PHP 10.9M
Newly-retired rapper Logic just dropped some serious dough on… an ultra-rare Pokémon card.
Per TMZ, the artist-turned-Twitch streamer spent a whopping $226,000 (PHP 10.9M) on a rare first-edition Charizard Pokémon card he won during a live auction bidding. The purchase also broke the record for Nintendo collectibles.
Trading card tracking company CardHops broke the news on Twitter and dubbed it as the ‘highest known sale of the card.’
‘A PSA 10 Base Set 1st Edition Charizard just sold at auction with an ending bid of $183,812.00. Including the 20% buyer’s premium, the total transaction value exceeds $220k.

The first-edition card is apparently rare because of its shadowless feature, meaning there’s no shadow typically found on the right side of the Charizard art.
‘When I was a kid I absolutely loved Pokémon but couldn’t afford the cards,’ the rapper wrote on Instagram as he showcased a different Pokémon card set box he bought for $23,000 (PHP 1.1M).
‘I remember even trying to trade food stamps for theirs and now as an adult who has saved every penny he has made being able to enjoy something that I’ve loved since childhood now as a grown man is like buying back a piece of something I could never have.’
‘It’s not about the material it’s about the experience.’
Good on you, Logic
