#NasiraanAngPangulo, #NaasarAngPangulo trends after last night’s presidential rant
*chef’s kiss*
ICYMI, President Duterte went full-on rage mode during his late-night presidential address earlier last night, highlighting misogynistic and downright inaccurate claims against VP Leni Robredo.
Among his many false remarks was that Robredo wasn’t doing anything to aid calamity victims and that she joined in the #NasaanAngPangulo Twitter trend. Of course, he had to sprinkle a bit of misogyny in there. With his recent post-typhoon sex jokes, it’s not a surprise.
Duterte spends first 20 minutes of his address criticizing Robredo, and ends with these words: Gusto kong malaman, ikaw, gab-gabi lumalakad ka, anong oras ka umuuwi? At kaninong bahay ka tumutuloy?

Leni was quick to call out Duterte’s claims with real-time video evidence of relief good packing at the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
She also prompted people to ‘review all my tweets‘ to find her speaking out against his apparent disappearance during the early hours of Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses. True enough, she never once implied this.
I just called out Sec Panelo for peddling fake news. I am also calling out whoever peddled the fake news to the President, kaya ganito siya ka pikon. I never said “Where is the President”? You can review all my tweets.

When a President is a mysoginist, the conversation goes down to this level. Eto po yung ginagawa namin gabi gabi, nagpupuyat ilang linggo na para, araw-araw, may madala lang na tulong sa mga nangangailangan. https://t.co/J6MJ7yEl6U pic.twitter.com/lrtkpPKI4C

Duterte’s address has since prompted the top hashtag #DuterteMeltdown with over 56.1K tweets as of writing.
PH wit isn’t done just yet though, as the hashtags #NaasarAngPangulo and #NasiraanAngPangulo have also been making their way to Twitter PH’s trending topics. The two rising hashtags are a clear twist on #NasaanAngPangulo to reflect the pvblic call for government action amidst the ongoing calamities.
The first emotional breakdown of the President of the Philippines is not for sympathy to his fellow men but for his insecurities toward the working woman. #NasiraanAngPangulo #DuterteMeltdown

Do not tag me as dilawan pero putangina, criticizing Leni instead of giving her acknowledgement for helping? I mean in the midst of a pandemic/disasters makikipagkumpitensya ka sa VP mo? #NasiraanAngPangulo
