Even Black Mirror hates 2020
Serving as a formal (middle finger) farewell to this cursed year, Netflix’s ‘Black Mirror’ has released the official trailer for their special solo episode ‘Death to 2020′.
With a star-studded cast featuring Hugh Grant, Samuel L. Jackson, Lisa Kudrow, ‘Stranger Things’ Joe Keery and more, the over-1 minute trailer showcases a mockumentary type of film that sits down and chronicles the differnt experiences of people going through 2020.
If we know anything about ‘Black Mirror’ though, there’s sure to be much more dystopian twist in store.
‘To me, Death to 2020 feels like the collision of several different strands. But the approach for this is quite different to most of the topical comedy I’ve done in the past,’ explained creator Charlie Brooks on how the episode was created amidst lockdown.
‘It’s more character-based. In the loneliest year on record, I got to work remotely with writers and team members from my previous comedies, as well as many sickeningly talented people who were new to me.’
