‘Gaya sa Pelikula’ is coming to Netflix

The Juan Miguel Severo x JP Habac Boys Love (BL) hit ‘Gaya sa Pelikula‘ is dropping on streaming giant Netflix on January 7, 2021.

Starred by breakthrough queer actors Paolo Pangilinan (Karl Frederick Almasen) and Ian Pangilian (Jose Vladimir Austria), the series focuses on two condo neighbors who have to live together to save money for rent.

The series has since premiered a total of 8 episodes via Globe Studios, garnering almost 1.7M views with each YouTube video.

‘I’m so happy that [Gaya sa Pelikula] will soon be on Netflix and that the series can now find new viewers through the service,’ Juan Miguel Severo shared in a statement.

‘As someone who binges Netflix shows, it means so much to me just to see our title on that iconic interface!’

Meanwhile, director JP Habac thanks the iconic streaming service for giving their ‘own little love letter’ a much wider spotlight, as the show is set to debut in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
