iCarly is getting a revival with the OG cast

Back before being a YouTuber became pretty much a profession, there was iCarly. The series, which ran from 2007-2012, was one of the first to poke fun at the lives of online content creators – before the world barely even knew what a content creator was.

With Internet culture at its peak today, it’s only appropriate then that this Nickelodeon classic is getting revived. Per TVLine, the show will bring back most of the OG cast, including Miranda Cosgrove (Carly), Jerry Trainor (Spencer), and Nathan Kress (Freddie). Jennette McCurdy, if you’re reading this, we’d love to have you back as Sam.

The new series will also replace series creator Dan Schneider with new showrunners, Jay Kogen (School of Rock, The Simpsons, Frasier) and Ali Schouten (Diary of a Future President).

The iCarly reboot won’t be aired on Nickelodeon, but instead on a new streaming service called ParamountPlus. There’s no word yet on a release date, so we’ll settle for having that theme song on repeat for the meantime.
