RC Cola is back at it again with another outrageous highdea turned mainstream commercial. And like the intellectuals the Interet thinks they are, people are already sharing their unsolicited theories.

Promptly titled CheckMoMataMo.mp4′ on YouTube. (Hey, it’s a step-up from last ad’s ‘Nyahahakbkxjbcjhishdishlsab@!!!! Basta RC Cola!’), the new commercial sees a female band member feeling like she’s isn’t ‘really part of the group’.

Could it be because they’ve sold out? Found a different genre and left her behind? Hell no, she has a fricking RC Cola bottle for an arm, that’s why.

 

In true RC fashion, expectations are then subverted as we discover that the rest of the bandmates are practically one and the same, as they produce ice cubes from their literal eye sockets.

Ice from eyes – get it?

The happy music plays, and we get a closing shot of the 4 musicians happily enjoying their bodily RC Cola drinks. All is right in the world, we guess.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Though this is obviously another humorious ‘wala lang’ idea from RC Cola’s creative agency, GIGIL, the Internet isn’t really one to forget meaning in everything.

While some netizens are riding the sarcasm wave, there are still some people interpreting the video in their own terms – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing since we all have different perspectives, TBH. Maybe not cancel RC for this, though?

 

 

 

 

 

Whatever your interpretation may be, let’s just remember the main point of these videos: literally nothing. When we caught up with the peeps back in GIGIL, they shared that their ads were inspired by Gen Z’s spontaneity and ‘wala lang‘ attitude.

‘There are also a lot of things that you do without explanation. Drinking soft drinks is one of them,’ explained GIGIL Creative Partner, Herbert Hernandez.

When words fail, let’s refer to their video description for context: ‘Ha? Ha? Hakdog!’
