Spotify Wrapped is here to call out your 2020 coping mechanisms

With uNpreCeDented tiMes making up this cursed 2020, music has become a solace for many of us. From TSwift’s bluesy ‘folklore‘ to BTS’ high-powered ‘Dynamite‘, we’ve all likely discovered new songs that made 2020 just a little bit better despite… you know.

To wrap up the year, Spotify has officially launched the 2020 ‘Spotify Wrapped’, their annual collection of bangers that make up every user’s hit list.

The site has changed the layout on mobile, as you can now view your personal mix via slideshow Spotify Stories on the app. The vertical format also makes for easier sharing via IG stories and other apps.

 

 

Spotify also released their own highlights this year, with rapper Bad Bunny taking the top spot of most-streamed artist with his album ‘YHLQMDLG’. Billie Eilish still takes the cake as the top streamed female artist followed by Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, who both released albums this year.

Contrary to the Grammy’s selection process, The Weeknd is Spotify 2020’s most popular song with almost 1.6B streams. *Cue They Did Abel Dirty noises*
