JSYK, you can now change Spotify playlist covers through phone
A small, but necessary, update
To make our lives just a little bit easier in this post-apocalyptic world, Spotify has finally allowed users to change playlist covers through phone.
Though this may seem like a small change, avid playlist-makers know the struggle of making that perfect tracklist, then having to run to your laptop to pick a worthy photo to showcase your superior music taste. Another first world problem solved by big tech.
To do this, simply go to the Spotify app on your phone, choose the playlist, click the ‘Edit‘ option, then select the ‘Change Image‘ toggle. We took the liberty of making this relatable basic playlist for you – purely just for visual.
The update comes after Spotify’s tiny slew of updates to enhance the listening experience, such as adding lyrics to songs and allowing audiobook recordings. We’re still waiting on the supposed karaoke mode though.
Again, it may be a small update, but it’s a big change for the rest of us still trying to get by and make connections via the classic ‘hey, I made you a playlist’.
We call this a win
