Rosé finally gets her due in solo project ‘R’

Out of BLACKPINK’s four, I always adored Rosé the most. By ‘most’, I mean there’s like a .00001% differential between her and the girls in my ‘likeness scale’, since they’re all stan- worthy in their own right.

But back to Rosé, how could you not root for her? She’s pretty, has an Australian accent to die for, and in my own opinion, the best sounding vocals out of the group. But while Jisoo has her own upcoming K-Drama series, Jennie and her ‘Solo’ outing, and Lisa and her pet dance project ‘Lilifilm’, Rosé needed an avenue to shine further.

That is, until the release of her own solo project, ‘R’. Released today, the two-track record features the singles Gone and On the Ground, both sung in English.

A music video for the latter also dropped, which sees Rosé in her gorgeous, ferocious self as she proudly relays the hard work she mustered to get to the top.

It’s the type of debut Rosé and her fans deserved, especially with something so long-overdue. Here’s to more opportunities for our queen in the near future.
