This rap album has an entire track showing love to ‘Chicken Adobo’

In his latest album, Guapdad 4000, being the Filipino-American that he is, is echoing something we Filos have known all along: Chicken Adobo is the sh*t.

The rapper gave the shoutout in a track of the same name, where he compared the delicacy to falling for someone ‘beautiful and who can fill him up’. Chicken Adobo is one of 14 tracks in Guap’s new album, 1176, his first release under 88rising sub-collective, PARADISE RISING.

Executive produced by fellow Fil-Am collaborator, Illmind, 1176 takes a peek behind the curtain as Guap narrates his life up to now, touching on everything from his Filipino upbringing to life with his family in Oakland. Guap previously released Dior Deposits, named by the New York Times as one of the best albums of 2019.
