Underrated drops this week: Sleep Alley, Autotelic, dia maté, DENȲ

Welcome to ICYMI, We The Pvblic’s weekly spotlight on fresh, under-the-radar drops you might’ve missed.

Whether it’s our playlists needing a much-needed revamp or just out of sheer pandemic boredom, it’s always a blast to discover underrated music gems. For this week, we have new releases from the likes of Sleep Alley, Autotelic, dia maté, and DENY.

DENȲ (Gusto With Ya)

If you’re stuck with a yearning for your SO (or any semblance of a love life) thanks to social distancing, you’re not alone. DENȲ and Gusto With Ya croon about being a strong, independent woman – who still needs a lil bit of loving on the side.

Sleep Alley (Pag-Uwi)

Sleep Alley’s Pag-Uwi is for those rough and long days that make you wish for the comforts of the one you call home. Regardless if it’s your bed, your pet doggo, or a literal someone, the band’s sweet, sweeet vocals will amplify your need for your personal sanctuary.

dia maté (Heart Hates Me)

dia maté makes the most of her music debut with the dreamy single ‘Heart Hates Me’. Produced by prolific electronic artist CRWN, the song is an alt-pop track that embraces self-love during the process of healing.

‘When you break up while you’re still in love, and with no other reason than overthinking, you tend to experience the dissatisfactions of regret. The heart guilts the mind for the logical decision it has made.’ says dia maté.

Autotelic (Kwentuhan)

Last but definitely not least, Autotelic shifts from their patented synth-heavy, dance pop-rock sound to a more guitar-driven alternative rock with ‘Kwentuhan’. The single’s message is a timely one, as it tells of reconnecting with those important to us and the time we have with them.
