This hotel buffet will offer 70 dishes made from cup noodles
If you had an extra 2500 pesos, would you splurge it on a buffet that consists of cup noodles? Wait until you hear about the collaboration of Keio Plaza, a luxury hotel in Tokyo, and brand Nissin Cup Noodles for a two-month-long buffet.
Keio Plaza Hotel and Nissin Cup Noodles will celebrate their 50th anniversary as each of them was coincidentally founded in 1971, as per Japan Today. Together, they arranged a “rags-meets-riches” fusion menu that features different flavors of Cup Noodles as the basis for each meal.
The cuisine is composed of 70 dishes that range from noodle burgers, shabu-shabu pork, chocolate mousse made with miso cup noodles, and more. They will also offer two cocktail flavors: a tequila-based chili tomato and liqueur-based curry.
If you can’t handle a buffet, four other restaurants in Keio Plaza also offer single dishes. Nan-en will serve a seafood option or the ‘mystery meat’ that’s composed of kobe beef and curry cup noodle fried rice. If you want to try a drink or two, Brillant‘s seafood vodka cocktail and a Cup-Noodle-flavored bourbon whisky will keep you company.
The buffet is priced at ¥5800 (PHP 2555) per person for lunch and ¥7800 (PHP 3436) for dinner but is (sadly) exclusively available in Japan. On the bright side, the buffet price equates to over 150 pieces of 40g Nissin Cup Noodles in your local convenience store.
