French fries with edible gold worth P10,000 landed a world record

People have their own fave flavor of fries – cheese, sour cream, BBQ, and more. But the one that comes with edible gold was recently considered the world’s most expensive French fries by Guinness World Records (GWR). It’s worth $200 or approximately P10,070.

The record-breaking fries are called the “Crème de la Crème Pomme Frites” which can be yours to devour at Serendipty3 in New York City. It was made by the hands of creative chef Joe Calderone and corporate executive chef Fredrick Schoen-Kiewert.

Giving justice to its price, the finely crisped potatoes are served on a Baccarat crystal Arabesque Plate, paired with a bowl to carry its Mornay Sauce as a dip. Apart from the 23k edible gold dust, the recipe includes the following luxurious ingredients:

– Upstate Chipperbeck potatoes
– Dom Perignon Champagne
– J. LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar
– batches of pure cage-free goose fat from France
– Guerande Truffle Salt, truffle oil
– Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello cheese
– shaved black summer truffles from Italy
– truffle butter
– organic A2 A2 100% grass-fed cream from Jersey Cows
– Gruyere Truffled Swiss Raclette (aged for 3 months)

Calderone shared that it isn’t Serendipty3’s first time to land a world record, and they look forward to producing more over-the-top recipes in the future. The restaurant’s menu also holds the most expensive milkshake, most expensive sandwich, and most expensive dessert.
