Eminem will really open a restaurant called ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’

Remember the first verse of Lose Yourself by Eminem? It goes, ‘His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.’ Almost two decades after its release, and the American rapper announced that he will to open a restaurant called Mom’s Spaghetti.

The American rapper announced on Instagram that his permanent brick-and-mortar Italian establishment is set to open in Detroit on Wednesday, September 29. It actually first launched as a pasta pop-up in 2017 in the same city, which was part of his promotion for his Revival album. 

Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg shared in a statement, ‘The response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive. The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long.’

Mom’s Spaghetti is a concept restaurant where customers order and get served via a walk-up window. It offers a straightforward menu that offers a few items. Check out the list below:

Mom’s Spaghetti – $9 (approx. Php. 460)
Mom’s Spaghetti w/ meatballs – $12 (Php. 600)
Mom’s Spaghetti w/ rabbit balls (vegan) – $14 (Php. 700)
‘Sghetti Sandwich – $11 (Php. 560)
Beverages – $3 (Php. 150)
