Bea Alonzo will play a Filipina guerilla fighter in Hollywood film ‘Angel Warrior’

From her iconic roles in Four Sisters and a Wedding to A Second Chance, you probably caught Bea Alonzo on the big screen already. But she takes it up a notch as her latest endeavor involves a Hollywood film. The actress landed a “she-devil” leading role in the upcoming movie Angel Warrior.

The 33-year-old is set to play Tala, a pre-war era Filipina underground fighter. She will be “aiding the poorly-equipped Filipino and American guerillas on the island of Panay.” The movie will be set at a time during the Philippines’ resistance movement against the Japanese occupation during WWII.

Alonzo also took the announcement on Instagram, ‘And the secret is out!! Yes, I’ll be doing a World War 2 film soon. I’ll keep you posted about the future developments.’
