Jabbawockeez danced to P-pop group BGYO’s song ‘The Baddest’

Remember when the Jabbawockeez first performed on America’s Got Talent in 2006? People around the world tried to make their own rendition of the dance number. But recently, the hip-hop dance team was the one who created a dance video along with Filipino boy group BGYO’s song titled The Baddest.

BGYO’s member Nate had an interview where he shared that the Jabbawockeez inspired him to get into music, and how he used to try to copy their dance moves. A few days after, the dance crew posted a video on TikTok with the P-pop group’s song playing in the background.

The California-based dance group also took to Twitter its 35-second clip and tagged BGYO’s official page. The boy band quote tweeted the post and showed appreciation. It added, ‘Someone we know must be doing a happy dance [right now].’

Apart from their impressive choreography, the Jabbawockeez is known for its signature plain white face mask and gloves. The nine-member collective is recognized as America’s true best dance crew. The group’s name originated from Lewis Carroll’s poem Jabberwocky, where the titular character is a dragon that traveled the “tulgey wood” in the children’s story Through the Looking-Glass.

BGYO’s song The Baddest topped two global charts earlier in August namely Billboard’s Next Big Sound and the Pandora Predictions Chart. The track served as the group’s comeback single, and they went big by featuring actress Liza Soberano in its music video.
