James Reid’s new US label includes Far East Movement and Tiffany Young

Not everyone is huge on saying “goodbye” since that word is often tied to gut-wrenching moments. But seeing actor and singer James Reid leaving is just the right amount of bittersweet. Reports say he might give his fans new music as he joins the international label Transparent Arts.

Back in October 2020, the record label has welcomed Reid to their roster of talents. The LA-based label was founded by Far East Movement, who happens to be the first Asian American group to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts with their hit single Like A G-6.

Another powerhouse labelmate that Reid will potentially get to work with is Tiffany Young of KPOP group Girls’ Generation. Imagine the possibilities of them working on a new track together – it could instantly be your new fave track.

While Reid didn’t announce where he was headed, several fan sites on Twitter posted photos and videos of him confirming that he arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport. Many of his fans also expressed support for his latest career move.

Speculations on Reid’s departure have been made when he posted photos of what appears like his Despedida party with friends. On his Instagram stories, a cake with a playful dedication states, ‘Bon Voyage and good luck, Jams Red.’

Meanwhile, Reid’s half-sister Chantal Calicdan’s Instagram post showed them together hugging their mom, Emma MacDonald. The same carousel also contained a video of the 28-year-old musician waving at the airport. Calicdan’s caption reads, ‘Go rockstar! @james’

Transparent Arts’ website says that their collective gathers “the best of American and Asian entertainment business and applies it to [their] global platform.” The company’s collaborators also include Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Marshmello, and Snoop Dog among many other artists.
