Underrated Bops: Press Hit Play, mxmtoon, Peach PRC, keshi, and more

Welcome to our Hidden Gems Playlist, We The Pvblic’s spotlight on under-the-radar drops you might’ve missed.

Press Hit Play – Tell Me

Tell Me is the perfect comeback song for Press Hit Play’s (PHP) return to the world of P-Pop. Coursing with energy, the song borrows from the retro-pop of the 80s and molds it to fit the modern and youthful zest of PHP.

keshi – TOUCH

If you love Joji, TOUCH is set to become your new lo-fi favorite with its mellow beat and romantic lyrics. Though keshi began with only a small following, his alternative hip hop sound has gained worldwide recognition in a short amount of time.

mxmtoon – mona lisa

In the past few years, mxmtoon has risen to a global indie-pop favorite due to her youthful and introspective songs. With mona lisa’s dreamy pop sound and intimate lyrics, mxmtoon perfectly captures the feeling of being a side character in their own story.

Warren Hue – RUNAWAY W ME

Only 19 years old and already a part of 88rising, Warren Hue went from hometown hero to a promising rising star. His new track, RUNAWAY W ME is unafraid to experiment, merging hyper-pop, trap, and hip hop to create an energetic feel.

Peach PRC – God is a Freak

Peach PRC shows that music can be both fun and political. Despite its bubblegum pink look, God is a Freak unashamedly questions slut shaming by conservative Christians. This punchy pop song is for all those girls who wish the world would just care less.

Arlo Parks – Softly

Despite being a lowkey artist, Arlo Parks has already won her fair share of music awards. Softly, is proof enough that she should be on our radar. Despite the song’s upbeat pop sound, its complex lyrics speak of heartbreak before a relationship is over.
