BLACKPINK’s Lisa is the first soloist to win VMA for Best K-Pop

ICYMI: BLACKPINK’s debut at the recent VMAs made waves not only because it was the first time they performed their latest single ‘Pink Venom‘ live, but the group also made history again!

Lisa received the VMA for Best K-Pop Act, making her the first K-Pop soloist to bag the achievement with her solo debut, ‘Lalisa‘. To add to the feat, she is the first Thai to win the Best K-Pop Award at the VMAs, proving that Lisa is definitely a talent to match.

BLACKPINK also won the Moon Man for Best Metaverse Performance, a new category that celebrates artists’ creativity in using Metaverse spaces for their performances and audio-visual. BLACKPINK’s collaboration with PUBG, ‘The Virtual’, an in-game virtual concert earned them the nod. The collaboration also gave way to their hit ‘Ready for Love.’

The group is currently gearing up for their upcoming album, ‘Born Pink‘, and scheduled world tour.
