Women should never be shutting other women down, which is what global pop superstar Selena Gomez and model Hailey Bieber kept trying repeatedly to prove that fans simply could not follow.
Due to their linkage with singer Justin Bieber, Selena’s ex and Hailey’s husband, it was sadly an inevitability that the two get pitted against each other by the Internet despite never being open to having bad blood.
Finally, after years of trying to address the rumors about their “feud”, Selena and Hailey put the noise to rest by posing for cozy pictures with each other at a gala.

Captured by photographer Tyrell Hampton on October 15 at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures 2nd Annual Gala, the photo quite literally broke the Internet.
The photographer captioned the photo on Instagram with “plot twist”, which it truly was. As of writing, the photo is fast approaching 1 Million likes within just 9 hours of being up.
The photo followed Hailey’s statement on a podcast episode that she did not steal Justin from Selena. “It’s not in my character to mess with someone’s relationship…” Hailey stated. “I can say, period, point blank I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody.”
Justin and Selena’s shippers were quick to attack Hailey on the topic, but that did not go unnoticed by Selena.
In a TikTok live, Selena shut down the hate toward Hailey leaving a message to her fans that “words matter.”
“I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting, and it’s not fair, and no one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner I’ve seen,” the Rare Beauty founder spoke.
After the photo, fans should finally understand that Selena and Hailey are mature enough, so their supporters should be too.
