Nadine reacts to spreading misinformation for clicks
That’s why it’s always important to check if the source is reliable.
Two videos circulating the Internet nowadays are examples of misleading content taken out of context.
Anyone that has been active on social media lately may have known about the Choco Mucho Flying Titans team video posted by Rendon Labador, which has been circulating the Internet.
The action of the team caused a divide on whether they should have acknowledged their fans or not, given that the video was taken during the players’ off-season.
Opinions came from personalities such as Kuya Kim and Rica Peralejo regarding how public figures should act, while the official team page of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans released a statement that the video was not able to show the full context of what happened that day.
Now, a new video is taking the Internet by storm. This time is a video of Nadine Lustre that was made to look like she was reacting to the Choco Mucho Flying Titans incident.
The singer quickly clarified that the clip was from an interview she had last year and was not a comment or a response to the recent viral video of the volleyball team.
I hope y'all watch this video so you see the whole picture.
This interview was last year and is NOT a response or comment to Deanna Wong.https://t.co/yYVDt0icBr— Nadine Lustre (@hello_nadine) December 10, 2022
The ‘Deleter’ actress took to Twitter to say how she was mindblown at how the clip was taken out of context and blown out of proportion.
She also left a message for creators who produce clickbait content saying, “I hope ya’ll got the clicks you wanted.”
Im so mind blown with how this interview was so blown out of proportion then again Im not surprised.
Probably gonna be the last time Im gonna talk about this cuz prolonging this will be silly sf.
If people still wanna to crucify me for that edit down video, edi wow.— Nadine Lustre (@hello_nadine) December 10, 2022
Rendon Labador, who was behind the viral Choco Mucho Flying Titans video and the edit-down video of Nadine, continues to stand by his initial stance on the incidents despite the involved parties sharing their sentiments on the matter.
These recent happenings remind us that it is our responsibility as social media users to always verify our sources. With the advent of technology, anyone can edit and post anything online so we must continue to be vigilant with the content we consume and share.
