Hit show ‘Wednesday’ announces highly awaited second season
We all can’t wait!
They also used Lady Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary’ to make the announcement.
After making its debut on Netflix in November, the Tim Burton-produced show instantly catapulted itself as a global phenomenon within weeks of its release. With Jenna Ortega playing the lead, the show had the world in a chokehold starting with Wednesday’s iconic dance scene.
‘Wednesday‘ was also able to surpass some of the records set by ‘Stranger Things’ another hit by Netflix. Their showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar spoke about having a storyline prepared until a fourth season prior.
With all that said, it was almost inevitable for ‘Wednesday’ not to get renewed for a second season. Its announcement coming sooner rather than later is just the cherry on top. On January 7, the show confirmed the coming of its second season, with a date yet to be revealed.

No other song was more fitting for the teaser than Lady Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary’, which also had newfound fame as the Internet continued to dance to the song for the Wednesday dance challenge.
As of writing no other details have been announced by Netflix or Wednesday’s teams, but one thing is already for sure: they are coming back with more misery for everyone.
