Pedro Pascal is the newest ‘Daddy of the internet’ and we’re living for it

“Daddy is a state of mind, you know what I’m saying?”

Since the new HBO series “The Last of Us” took off, the internet harbored a new love for Pedro Pascal.

Don’t get mistaken, the 47-year-old Chilean actor is no stranger to the spotlight. He first caught eyes as the suave Oberyn Martel in Game of Thrones and later starred in other big-named series like Netflix’s Narcos and Star Wars’ The Mandalorian.

The latest notch in his belt comes as he plays Joel in the TV adaptation of the award-winning video game The Last of Us—and he definitely got into “daddy” mode for it.

We’re not just talking about how the character he plays in the series is a father, but also how Pascal just has that cool confidence about him (also because he’s hot). On TikTok, there have been several videos of the actor showing off his skills, hilarious moments, and of course, some fan edits of him reading all those thirsty comments.

In honor of everybody’s newfound love for Pedro Pascal, here are some moments that prove he’s truly the daddiest of daddies.

His dancing

This daddy isn’t afraid to bust a move! Pascal has videos of him dancing all over the internet—whether it’s on set, in the dressing rooms, or with a Clicker on SNL.

Owning the “daddy” moniker

Pascal has referred to himself as “daddy” many times in interviews and in videos posted to social media. It’s this kind of confidence that really has people fawning over him.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2022, the actor was asked: “Who’s a bigger daddy, you or Oscar Isaac?”

“I’m a bigger daddy than him, I’m older than him. Although he’s a real daddy, he’s got kids and I don’t” Pascal said.

“But daddy is a state of mind, you know what I’m saying? I’m your daddy.”

In 2023, he reacted to a tweet calling him a DILF. “Yep, I’m your cool, slutty daddy,” the actor said in response.

Supporting the LGBTQ+ community

This daddy is also an ally of the queer community, showing unending support to his trans sister Lux Pascal who came out in 2021.

When Lux came out to her brother, Pedro simply said, “Perfect, this is incredible.”

He also educated Mandalorian co-star Gina Carano who was accused of mocking trans people by changing her pronouns online to “boop/bob/beep.”
