The UAAP basketball player found himself in deep water with the Internet as he recently got entwined in a cheating allegation following his breakup with ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes

Now, he faces another obstacle with netizens as he revealed that he and the young actress live-in and sleep together from time to time

Because the general consensus is, Ricci, that real men don’t kiss and tell.

In a recent conversation with Asia’s King of Talk Boy Abunda, Ricci Rivero revealed in his ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda’ interview that he and his former beau Andrea Brillantes lived with and occasionally slept together with the blessing of both their families during the course of their relationship.

However, he clarified that Andrea’s mother still preferred that her daughter come home after seeing Ricci, to which he said he agreed. “At yun din naman and sinasabi ko an ayoko rin and at this early age. ‘Gusto ko mag-focus ka din sa industry mo, sa work mo, sa goals mo. Ako, kailangan ko rin mag-focus dun sa akin’.”

Ricci also clarified that Councilor Leren Bautista had nothing to do with the breakup and was only dragged into the mess following the outreach program he had done with her help to celebrate his birthday.

Despite how Ricci is trying his best to clear out his name amidst allegations for his family’s sake as he mentioned in the recent dialogue, he is only adding more fuel to the fire.

Prior to his statement about him and Andrea living and sleeping together, he also “clarified” in the first part of his interview with Boy Abunda, the cheating allegations he has been receiving by saying the girl Andrea saw in his unit, also the girl in the photos and videos circulating online was not there for him, but rather for a friend.

But not only did the Internet not believe Ricci when he said that about the girl, but him sharing that he and Andrea slept together, regardless if he might have meant they were just sleeping under the same roof and used the wrong term to give him the benefit of the doubt, there is a common consensus from the netizens that real gentlemen do not kiss and tell. The Internet also believes that he is creating more harm than good, especially to Andrea as claims about “sleeping together” always harm women more than men.

Not fan of any. But a man with a loud mouth after break-up, is man that cannot be trusted.

Very ungentlemanlike naman. I am neither a fan of any but to disclose something private such as 'sleeping together' do more harm to a lady than to a man, it's like a trophy machismo thing that gets him more 'poge points.'

Although it is never ok to bring the family of those involved into the mess which might have been a big factor that led Ricci to do the interview, the sentiment of the Internet still lies in the fact that he is very open to sharing personal details of their relationship to clarify his name. No one knows what happens in their relationship behind closed doors, and it is never ok to throw rocks but to run away from them by using his former beau as a shield is not sitting well with the Internet and shows a lot about his character.
