Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp celebrates his first pride march
We’re happy for you, Noah!
Here’s to the first of many!
‘Stranger Things’ star Noah Schnapp just celebrated his first-ever pride march following his coming out earlier this year. The 18-year-old proudly donned a tank top with a text that read “straight outta the closet” in a photo he posted on his official Instagram page.

Noah captioned the photo with “first pride” and other photos reveal that his mom was there with him, too.
Noah came out in January this year through a TikTok video he captioned “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought,” as his character in the Netflix hit has been heavily alluded to liking his best friend Mike portrayed by Finn Wolfhard.
In the video, Noah added the text “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know'” while mouthing the words, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, would never be that serious.”

We’re so happy that Noah is finally able to celebrate who he really is with the love and support of his family, friends, and fans but not everyone has similar experiences with their coming out. So this pride month, let us always remember that pride is still a protest and although we have come a long way from where we were, there is still a long way to go.
As for Stranger News, the last and final season of the Netflix hit ‘Stranger Things’ is still in the scripting stage, Maya Hawke (who plays Robin Buckley) told Inverse as the showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer, known better as the Duffer Brothers, refuse to continue the script until the writer strike is over. The show creators also vocally shared support for the protest through their Twitter account previously.
Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong

But for now, we’re happy to see that the cast are able to pursue what they want until shooting continues.
