‘SONA all’: VP Leni’s 22-minute address is a breath of fresh air
Wait, addresses AREN’T more than an hour?
Vice President Leni Robredo addressed Filipinos through a ‘Message of Hope‘ recorded speech yesterday to air her suggestions on how the government can better their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In just 22 minutes, Robredo tackled the locally-stranded individuals (LSIs) cooped up in Rizal Stadium, identification of students who need online learning equipment, internet connectivity in barangays, better compensation for frontliners, and passing the P1.3-trillion economic stimulus package sitting in Congress.
Robredo furthered that Filipinos aren’t ‘PaSAwAy‘, and shouldn’t be blamed for the spike in the country’s positive cases as the government lends a huge hand too.
‘It’s clear to me that Filipinos are not stubborn, but are ready to help others. The Filipinos are not inutile but have the courage and intelligence to face any trials. The Filipinos are not losers. And I’m sure we will win the fight against this pandemic.’
The pvblic immediately came to praise the Vice President’s much-needed roadmap. Without any unprompted remarks or cursing, she ultimately kept her address short, concise and gave concrete solutions to the people’s needs.
Let’s all say: SONA ALL
VP Leni Robredo’s 22-minute address is the real State of the Nation Address. Full of hope, concrete plans and strategies, comforting and empowering message to Filipinos. That’s how you do it — No personal attacks, just facts. It’s refreshing. You should see it.
