With 83K+ COVID-19 cases, gyms and salons can now partially re-open
At least you’ll be buff during this pandemic
The Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has allowed the partial re-opening of several businesses starting August 1. The list includes gyms, review centers, as well as establishments that offer pet and personal grooming and other aesthetic services (except full-body massages).
Internet cafes will also be opened to accommodate students who will be undergoing online classes.

Per CNN Philippines, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said that these businesses will operate at a 30 percent capacity and are subject to strict health protocols, such as the wearing of facemasks, social distancing, and frequent sanitation of rooms.
The decision comes a couple of weeks after several Metro Manila hospitals reached ‘full capacity‘ for COVID-19 patients. Said hospitals include Makati Medical Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Manila, and both St. Luke’s Medical Centers in Bonifacio Global City and Quezon City.
As of writing, the Philippines has 83,673 cases(of which 55,109 are active), with 26,617 recoveries, and 1,947 deaths.
