Angkas to offer free rides for frontliners; donates 1,000 motorcycle barriers
Doing the good work
Per Radyo Inquirer, motorcycle-hailing app Angkas is set to offer free rides around the Metro to frontliners.
Over 1,000 riders will be dispersed to nearby hospitals in Manila such as PGH, San Lazaro Hospital, East Avenue Medical Center, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, QC General Hospital, NKTI, Ospital ng Maynila, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, and Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, Angkas has also donated 1,000 motorcycle barriers to the PNP following the strict protocols that ride-sharers ought to have a protected layer from each other.
Angkas’ efforts come after the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), which restricts public utility vehicles (PUVs) and LRT/MRT from operating.
