Artists want you to sing for Duterte because he’s ‘tired’

It finally happened. The age-old script of President Duterte’s most avid followers has finally taken on a literal life of its own. An online concert called ‘Singing for the President’ will feature a slew of Filipino performers, all gathered for one noble cause: to serenade the Prezzo because he’s ‘tired‘.

The lineup features singers such as Freddie Aguilar, Jimmy Bondoc, Imelda Papin, and Dulce joined by ‘artists’ OWWA Secretary Mocha Uson, blogger Banat By, former Presidential Spox Sal Panelo and lawyer/anti-bobo’ advocate Larry Gadon.

In the now-deleted video from NDM Studios, Jimmy Bondoc reiterated the group’s collective desire to sing for Duterte just like ‘the good old days’, as well as urged others to join in the performance.

‘Kantahan naman natin si Pangulo. He looks very tired. And I think kahit paano, we can serve him, and serve the country in our small way through music, and to bring peace and love again to social media’, reads a transcript from ABS-CBN News.
