This PH store upcycles local flour bags into facemasks, clothes

Talk about a new life

Taking ‘support local’ to a whole other level, PH-based apparel store Craftcha is breathing new life to run-of-the-mill harina (flour) bags by turning their raw katsa fabric into everyday essentials.

Maingat itong nilalabham, pinipili, ginugupit, at sinusulsihan upang awing produkto,’ the store promises.

With their name being an amalgamation of ‘craft‘ and ‘katsa‘, the local store  actually originated way back in 2009 after Typhoon Ondoy, as they needed the means to support their love for crafts and sustainable living.

Their katsa clothes range from shorts, dresses, to even polo, with prices going for as low as PHP 35 and not over PHP350.
