Iconic Makati club ‘XX XX’ is closing its doors

Following suit with fellow well-loved spaces TodayxFuture and Route 196, iconic Makati club ‘XX XX‘ has announced that they’re closing down their doors amidst the pandemic.
Located in the heart of Don Chino Roces, the steampunk-style twin bars have long been the go-to place for music enthusiasts and yuppies looking for a good time in the business district.
20:20 also used to regularly hold a huge party called ‘Circus 20:20‘ on the compound’s 3 main stages: XX-XX, 20:20, and the courtyard.
XX XX took to Instagram to announce their departure, as it took over 4 photo compilations to list down all the artists and musicians that had performed in the bar.
‘The time has come for us as well. After 4+ years, for all the obvious reasons, we are forced to close our doors.’, the caption reads.
We would like to thank the people behind the scenes—everyone in the back-office, our bartenders, servers, technicians and security.’
‘It was truly an experience working with you. Last but not least, we’d like to thank those who walked through our doors week in and week out.
‘During these hard times for nightlife and culture, we hope that sooner rather than later things will return to normal, or perhaps even better.’
The bar then ended their long post with the hashtag #ThankYouForDancingWithUs.
