Keanu Reeves’ debut graphic novel sounds as badass as he is

Self-aware?

In comic book news, the man who has played Neo from The Matrix, John Wick, and other badass characters over the years is dropping a project that promises more of the same.

Keanu Reeves recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for his debut graphic novel ‘BRZRKR’, which is about a cursed demigod who seeks to end his life and his unquenchable thirst for violence. The preview reads:

‘The man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence…even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else.

In exchange, Berzerker will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence…and how to end it.’

Think Suicide Squad, only that this guy actually enjoys staring death in the eyes.

In only 24 hours, the Kickstarter campaign has surpassed its goal of $50,000, with $422k in funding received as of writing.

BRZRKR will be released in 3 volumes, with 4 chapters each, with 384 pages in total. The series will see 3 release dates: September & August 2021 and September 2022.
