Rick Riordan’s ‘Kane Chronicles’ will be adapted into a Netflix trilogy
Rick Riordan supremacy
After the announcement of a brand new ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians‘ (PJO) coming to Disney+, it looks like we’re bound to see more of Rick Riordan’s works on the small screen.
This time around, the author’s separate trilogy ‘The Kane Chronicles’ is set to be adapted into a multiple film series with streaming giant Netflix.
ICYDK, ‘The Kane Chronicles’ takes inspo from Egyptian mythology as readers follow the adventures of siblings Carter and Sadie Kane. The series has released 3 books ‘The Red Pyramid’, ‘The Throne of Fire’, and ‘The Serpent’s Shadow’ from 2010 to 2012.
The news was first announced via Rick’s official website, where the author revealed the films have been in talks around the same time as the new PJO series.
‘Hey, guys! An exciting announcement as posted on social media concerning the Kane Chronicles: We are developing the series for feature films on Netflix!’ his site reads.
‘We have been working on this deal since last October, about the same time we started working on Percy, and I’m so glad I can now announce it! That’s all I can say for the moment, but stay tuned.’

With ‘Kane Chronicles’ being set in the same universe as Riordan’s other works ‘Camp Half-Blood Chronicles’, ‘Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard’, and once crossing over to PJO’s lore, an epic mythological collab could be the crossover of the decade.
