‘The Batman’ is facing against a familiar villain: COVID-19

The burning hype that surrounded ‘The Batman’ after it dropped its insane trailer has now been doused, as main lead Robert Pattinson has tested positive for COVID-19.

Per Vanity Fair, Pattinson’s diagnosis effectively suspended production on the highly-anticipated movie, which just resumed filming three days earlier. It was first delayed in March soon after the pandemic hit.

Warner Bros, the studio behind the flick, refused to confirm the news and only issued a statement:

‘A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused’.

However, Vanity Fair credited a highly placed source for its information, which has since been picked up by various news outlets. The Batman is slated for an October 2021 release, with only three months worth of production left to shoot.

In this new iteration, Bruce Wayne (Pattinson) is out to solve a series of gruesome killings in his second year as The World’s Greatest Detective.
