Among Us is officially Apple and Android’s top game app this quarantine

Per The Verge, popular space simulation game ‘Among Us‘ just topped the iOS App Store and Google Play as the most downloaded game app in the third quarter of 2020.

It isn’t such a shocker considering the game’s rise in recent months, owing almost 800,000 daily installs in Discord and millions of ‘Just Plays‘ views on YouTube.

App data provider Sensor Tower also predicts that the popularity of ‘Among Us’ is just starting to take flight, as its 100 million download milestone was achieved in just 3 months.

The app also vastly overtook the 68 million downloads of the previous top game, ‘My Talking Tom Friends’ – you know, the one for toddlers.

ICYDK or haven’t played with friends, ‘Among Us‘ is a space game where 4-10 players have to strategize to find out which one of them is the imposter, as innocent crewmates have to complete tasks in order to win the game (without everyone getting killed off).
