Duterte has finally defeated COVID-19 – as a mascot
Galing talaga ni Tatay
President Duterte’s promise to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic has finally come true – in mascot form, that is.
An epic fight between Duterte and what appears to be the deadly Coronavirus cell happened during a press conference with the World Philosophical Forum Philippines Inc. yesterday, October 28.
TBH, the spectacle looked like something out of a fighting game – with cheering fans, numerous ‘Duterte fist bumps‘, and all.
The presscon was for the push on nationwide free vaccination in coordination with the Chinese government amidst trials for their COVID-19 vaccine, Sinovac.
Despite being a PR scene, this wouldn’t be so farfetched from the President’s initial initial claims against national issues, like wanting to pee on Mount Taal’s lava and, you know, actually wanting to slap the COVID-19 microbe.
‘P—inang idioto na corona ito. Hinahanap ko gusto ko sampalin ang gago,’ he had said pre-quarantine back in February. Who knew his wish would come true?
As of writing, PH has had 375,000+ COVID-19 cases, 7,100 deaths, and 329,000+ recoveries.
Hope the defeat happens IRL soon
