You can now go on Instagram Live for as long as 4 hours
IG Live is going big
Per The Verge, Instagram is now allowing people to livestream on the platform for up to 4 hours.
Similar to Facebook Live’s 8-hour allowance, IG’s latest upgrade lets users share their content on live longer compared to their previous time limit of 60 minutes.
Adding more emphasis to the feature, people can now also save and watch other users’ Livestreams on the new ‘Live Archive‘ toggle on their accounts. It mirrors the current Archive for stories and posts.
In case you’ve been scrolling through old posts for too long, Instagram is also adding a ‘Live Now‘ section so you can see just about anyone who’s live right at the moment.
With IG’s latest upgrades, this could call for more creative ways that creators can interact with their followers like, oh IDK, a sequel to the dude staring at dolomite for 3 hours until he felt ‘okay‘.
The possibilities are endless
