After a post-typhoon meeting regarding the government’s typhoon Ulysses action plan in Camarines Sur, President Duterte still had to crack sex jokes as soon as it was over. Galing ni tatay.
‘Naubos ang panahon niya sa ano, tumanda na. Nakakatanda talaga ‘yan. Sobra babae, nakakatanda ‘yan’, Duterte commented about Bicol Social Welfare Undersecretary Marvel Clavecilla, who was also present in the briefing.
‘Sabi nga po ni [congressman] LRay [Villafuerte], undersexed daw po ako,’ Claverilla quipped, saying ‘undersexed‘ thrice because, you know, humor.
‘Undersexed. Kaya kung puwede po, gawin mo na akong [Cabinet] secretary para hindi na undersexed.’
Duterte even joked that a man who recently died of COVID-19 was simply ‘kulang sa babae’. As far as locker room talks go, of course the all-men group burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, VP Leni Robredo lowkey called out the briefing, saying that it’s vital that the government to handle calamity meetings seriously.
‘Napakahalaga yung mensahe na we are giving utmost urgency on things that are really urgent,’ Robredo shared with ANC.
‘Pag dinadaan kasi siya sa or pag binibigyan ng atensyon yung ibang bagay, yung nae-evoke natin, nako-communicate natin, mali; nako-communicate natin na hindi ito ganun kaimportante na seseryosohin natin.’
