PNP Chief Sinas doesn’t want to see any mañanitas this Christmas

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief and our fave bday boy Debold Sinas warned an arrest order for partygoers holding illegal gatherings under GCQ areas this Christmas season.
During a press conference earlier today, the newly-enacted PNP head shared that citizens caught hosting parties not following the IATF guidelines will be apprehended by the police.
‘Yes bawal…bawal and party,’ Sinas shared to reporters, ‘parties have been prohibited so, of course, we will have them arrested.’
Though large gatherings are strictly prohibited to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Sinas clarified that dinner gatherings were allowed as long as IATF guidelines such as physical distancing and only a maximum of 10 participants are present.
‘Dinner is a party. But you have to observe the required (protocols). So I would leave it to the commanders for their decision on this. It is still the discernment of the commanders to implement,’ he explained.
The Internet was quick to call out Sinas, as he was caught holding a surprise celebration/mañanita for his birthday party back in May, complete with roses and blowing of candles. He’s since been cleared of any charges by President Duterte himself.
‘Hindi kasalanan ni Sinas na pumunta [PNP]. Hindi naman niya alam… At kung may kasalanan man siya doon, pardon na siya.’
No matter what we think of the dude though, let’s still steer away from mañanitas this season
