‘2020 Game’ is a beautiful 8-bit summary of a horrible year
If there would be a single reason for us to revisit the flustercluck that was 2020, this game dedicated to its horrors would be it.
Called ‘2020: The Game‘, this free web-based side scroller summarizes every bizarre event, from the Australian wildfires, the pvblic’s mad rush for toilet paper, and our obsession with Tiktok. It’s beautifully designed and features a couple of funny references. What other platformer out there uses our tired Zoom struggles as a stage design?
‘2020: The Game’ was created by Max Garkavyy, who spent six months creating his little project. Based on the donation page, the title will gauge if Max should quit his ‘boring office job’ in exchange for a career of making video games. With nearly $29k raised of his $30k goal, we’d hazard a guess and say ‘go for it’.
