Drake is the first artist to notch 50 billion streams on Spotify
There are only three constant things in this world: death, taxes, and Drake winning in life. The 34-year-old recently became the first artist in history to notch 50 billion streams on Spotify, according to Chart Data, which tracks all music-related developments in real-time.
.@Drake has now surpassed 50 billion streams on Spotify across all credits. He is the first artist in history to hit this milestone.

Complex cited the similar-themed site Chart Masters, which broke down the milestone into two figures: 35.7B streams for songs where Drake is the lead artist, and more than 14.9B for singles where he’s a feature. Currently, the most-streamed single from the Canadian rapper is ‘One Dance’ with 1.9B.
Drake reacted to the achievement with a simple smiling upside-down emoji because apparently, making history is just another day in the office.
Expect the 50B record to grow even further when Drake releases his sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy, this January 2021.
